Derek Hough, you are a genius.

I always thought that when I'm a contestant on Dancing with the Stars (yes, when, not "if"), I'd obvi want to be paired with my boyfriend Maksim... even though he makes all of his partners cry (but that's because they're wimps & didn't grow up with a Ukrainian grandma). But certain routines in the past couple seasons, like the one below for example, are starting to convince me that Derek is where it's at. No wonder his sister Julianne is coming back next year (after becoming a big-headed "country star" & being "too good" for the show for 2 seasons) -- I'd be jealous of all the glory too!

Now as much as it pains me (seriously pains me) to give praise to anything that involves that dirty cheater Nicole Scherzinger (SHE IS ALREADY A PROFESSIONAL DANCER! & AN AMAZING ONE AT THAT! SHE SHOULD BE BANISHED FROM THE SHOW! Don't even get me started), this dance just needs to be appreciated for its amazing choreo. The challenge was to perform (& in Derek's case, create) a 50s-themed Paso Doble. So just pretend instead of the stupid cheater performing, it's just one of the other professional dancers (cuz it might as well be!!):



Paso Dobles are usually a total snooze, in my opinion... but I want to learn this one, STAT! I don't care what it's for. Street performing? Drunk "dance" lessons at Deseo Tequila Lounge? I'll make it work.
